Small - very small - by the time you roast them it's like eating Sparrows on a string in Italy back in the '60s. If you cook it long enough under high heat over coals you can almost get the bones soft enough to eat. Won't ever order these again. Also, I was led to believe there were 4 per order, why I ordered 2 orders as I had 8 for dinner company. So I served small Guinea Hens from Shop-Rite they never knew the difference, I hope? I just checked the site and it still says 4 per order and i received only 2 Quail total so they shorted me 6 Quail. So over the internet yo have to be careful apparently they don't fill the order correctly? I have a pheasant as well - maybe female sent to me its size is small as a female pheasant would be, but the 2 boxes of frog legs i have to open yet. So will see.
