How does local delivery in New Jersey work?
Add products to your cart and select “Local Delivery” at Checkout. It’s that easy!
Note that Local Delivery is free, but there is a $180 order minimum for this service. Be sure to browse our extensive product catalog.
All Orders must be placed by Sunday at 5pm for delivery the following week. You will be assigned a delivery day after we receive your order confirmation.

What are Prepared Foods?
Fossil Farms has a growing line of fully cooked, ready to heat and serve products featuring our all natural meats, farm raised wild game and fresh seasonal produce. Our Prepared Foods currently include fully cooked proteins and sauces that provide the key ingredients to amazing meals. We are also working on offering full meal kits to our customers, so check back here for more details.
I live in Southern NJ or in a zip code outside of your local delivery area. Can I still order Prepared Foods?
YES! Even though we don’t currently offer Local Delivery to Southern NJ (or another unlisted county) you can still order our Prepared Foods for delivery to your town via UPS. Just simply select “Shipping” at checkout.
I don’t live in NJ. Can I still order prepared foods?
Unfortunately, not at this time. The USDA dictates that what we prepare in our commercial kitchen in NJ can only be shipped within the state. We hope to expand our delivery area for prepared foods over time, so check back here for updates.
Please note that these ordering and delivery restrictions only apply to our Prepared Foods. Customers residing outside of NJ can still order all of the other products from our extensive product catalog.
Can I pick up my Online Order at your store in Boonton, NJ?
Yes! Simply select “Store Pickup” at checkout. You will see all available pickup dates at the time of purchase; select which date you’d like to pick up your order. The Fossil Farms Market & Kitchen team will email you to confirm your pick up day.
Once you arrive at our store, you can come in and tell us your name and/or order number and we’ll grab your order. If you prefer curbside pickup, please give the store a call at 973-917-3276 when you arrive, let us know your name and/or order number and we’ll bring your order to your vehicle.
*Please Note: Orders received by 12pm, Monday – Friday, will require a 24 hour lead-time for Store Pickup. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be available for Store Pick Up the following Monday after 2pm. Our Retail Store is Open Monday-Saturday, 11am-5pm, and Sunday, 10am-2pm.*
How is my Order Packaged?
We use an insulated inner cooler box, gel ice packs and a corrugated cardboard outer box for all Local Delivery orders. This ensures that product will stay fresh and/or frozen outside of refrigeration for up to 24 hours. All orders are delivered on our professional fleet of refrigerated vehicles by our team of dedicated drivers.
Do I need to be home to receive my delivery?
No. We will confirm your delivery date ahead of time but you do not need to be present in order to receive your order. All Orders are packed in insulated cooler boxes to keep products fresh and/or frozen for up to 2 days. Our drivers are instructed to leave the Order on a doorstep or with a doorman if the recipient is not present at the time of delivery. No signature is required.
