Which carrier do you use?
Our products are shipped via UPS. We strongly recommend that you send your package to a work address or arrange for someone to be at your house to receive your package, to avoid spoilage. UPS does not require a signature for your package, so it will be left on your doorstep if you are not at home.
When are orders shipped?
Orders are shipped Monday through Thursday. For same day processing, orders must be received by 1:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. All orders received after 1:00 pm will be processed the next business day. Orders that require a two-day travel time will ship out Monday through Wednesday only. There are no Saturday deliveries.
How is my order packed?
Our products are carefully packed in insulated coolers with reusable ice packs for travel. Great to re-use when transporting food! Packages are intended to keep products cold for 48 hours. Depending upon where you live, Overnight or Two-Day Air may be required for your package to arrive in optimal condition.
Are your products shipped fresh or frozen?
In order to maximize the integrity of our products, many items are flash frozen once packaged. This ensures quality and consistency during transit. If you are interested in purchasing fresh products only, please contact our customer service department at 973-917-3155.
The following states are not available for ground shipping: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
***Also, anyone located on the Island of Martha’s Vineyard, Mass, please make sure to choose 2nd day or overnight air service.
What if there is a problem with my order en-route?
It is possible for products to slightly defrost during shipping, which is normal. You can re-freeze Fossil Farms products if you are not going to cook items immediately, which will maintain the integrity of our products. The temperature in the shipping box should be 40 degrees or less (as cold as your refrigerator). This is considered a safe temperature for consumption and will not compromise the quality of the product.
If you receive a box that has an internal temperature of 41 degrees or higher, or the packages are warm to the touch, please contact us as soon as possible via email, firstname.lastname@example.org. or call our office, 973-917-3155. Our Customer Service Department is available Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time.
Fossil Farms will ship anywhere in the United States. We urge you to double check your address and zip code when placing your order, as we cannot guarantee any refunds after due to incorrect address. The customer will be responsible for any new shipments. Any claims for shortage, damage or condition will not be honored unless the problem has been reported to Fossil Farms within 24 hours upon the receipt of the product. We will replace your item on the next shipping day.
Shipping & Handling Charges
There is a $18.00 per order charge plus the UPS rate dependent upon the weight of your order.
How Do I Properly Dispose Of My Ice Packs?You can reuse all the ice packs sent in your box. If you choose to dispose of them then the Pelton Glacial ice packs are made with biodegradable materials so you can cut the packs open and dispose of the gel in your regular garbage while recycling the plastic outer casing. The ice packs with the Fossil Farms logo only contain water and can be poured down your drain and recycle the plastic as you normally do.

Fossil Farms will send out a confirmation via email to each customer with a UPS Tracking Number.
