An Ostrich Egg has a slightly sweeter flavor and a fluffier texture when compared to a chicken egg. They are the largest eggs laid by a bird. You will need a chisel and hammer or a drill to break the shell. One Ostrich egg is approximately equal to a dozen and a half chicken eggs. Try using an Ostrich Egg when making a frittata, quiche or simply a huge omelet!

Fresh Ostrich Egg

It was an amazing experience with my younger child preparing the biggest omelette he has ever seen! I carefully opened it from the bottom and then bleached the inside to preserve it. I also brought the egg to RTSP CUSTOM SHOP and had my son’s name cerakoted on it . I highly recommend fossil farms for delicious meats and eggs and also rtsp for custom work on just about anything including an ostrich egg!

Hot egg

I was unable to eat the egg due to the egg arriving super hot but I mean it’s Tampa Florida in mid May. Keeping anything cool here is about as hard as making a snowball on the sun. Fortunately Nicole was so awesome and did everything she could to get me a new egg then eventually a refund. I think you guys are awesome and I’ll definitely be ordering again next time around.
