Fossil Farms’ Geese are raised by our family owned and operated farm partners who do their own breeding, hatching and growing to ensure that their livestock are humanely raised. Fossil Farms’ 100% all natural, free roaming Geese are raised in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Part of the “Never Ever Program,” our Geese are never given antibiotics, steroids or hormones and are never fed any animal byproducts, only vegetarian feed, sourced from local farms.
Goose is all dark meat, with an intense flavor more often compared to Beef than Chicken. Goose is trickier to cook than Chicken or Turkey, however the skin, which is similar to Duck, renders while cooking, making the meat juicy and tender.
