Alpha–gal allergy, better known as the meat allergy, is caused by a tick bite. This allergy is most prevalent in central and southern United States. A popular myth is that people with Alpha-gal must become vegetarians. This is NOT the case, as poultry and fish do not trigger reactions. While there is no known cure, we do have meat options to feed your cravings.
