Kangaroo Ground | 1 lb.

With a flavor similar to beef and venison, Kangaroo Ground makes a great red meat alternative. Kangaroo contains less than 5% fat, which keeps it incredibly lean and healthy. Use it for meatballs, meatloaf, or any dish where you want to try a new flavor experience.

Kangaroo meat provides high protein and very low fat. It also contains a high concentration of Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) compared to many other foods. Researchers have linked CLA to a range of health benefits, including anti-carcinogenic and anti-diabetic properties, as well as potential support for reducing obesity and atherosclerosis. Fossil Farms' Ground Kangaroo stays lean while still offering a tender texture and a subtle gamey flavor.

Historically, kangaroo has served as a staple protein for Indigenous Australians. Harvesters source kangaroo meat from abundant wild populations in Australia. Professional ecologists support the kangaroo harvest because it helps preserve fragile rangeland ecosystems by avoiding land clearing for livestock and instead utilizing a wild, sustainable protein source.
