Fossil Farms is a mission driven company guided by a few core principles.
This means, consistently having the best quality products and the best service in the industry.
Fossil Farms specializes in providing the highest quality farm raised game and all natural, sustainable meats in the country. We take great pride in this craft and work hard everyday with the single focus to be the best at what we do.
Fossil Farms is a tribe of dreamers, doers, makers, shakers, chefs, butchers, logistical wizards and passionate foodies. We exist to create enduring change in food systems and supply chains. We have been working directly with independently owned farms and ranches (including our own) for over a quarter century. We place VALUE directly into the value chain by working with and supporting small scale producers and processors. All of this work comes into clear focus when we see our supply chain grow in its resilience, ability and strength.
In these uncertain times of supply chain shortages and extreme price fluctuations, we focus on what we’ve always known; producing high quality, all natural meat products isn’t science, it’s the product of intuitive understanding of how our animals are raised, guided by time honored practices that forgo the industrial standards of bigger, faster, more. Our products are raised with out the use of any added growth hormones, sub therapeutic antibiotics or steroids. Our farms and ranches practice regenerative and holistic means of raising their animals with care to the animal and the environment. Animals when not grass fed and pasture raised are fed a vegetarian diet of premium grains.
The conventional, industrial agriculture system and supply chain is frayed, the convention of confined mass feeding operations and large scale production facilities has been tested beyond its capabilities and in many cases failed to meet the demands of a public seeking quality food and an environment needing repair. While this is occurring, Fossil Farm’s suppliers and supply chain have not missed a beat, they continue to produce high quality products with little to no interruption in meeting the demand of our clients. This resiliency is part of our definition of sustainability.
This work needs support to continue to meet the challenges of our growing population. That support comes in many ways. It requires a conscious choice to invest in a future that turns its back on the wrongs of industrial agriculture, it requires an educated consumer that is offered true transparency into how their food is raised and produced. It requires all of these stakeholders, retail consumers, chefs, butchers, farmers, ranchers, processors to band together.
