Bison Tomahawk Chop

We like to think of the Tomahawk Ribeye as the King of All Steaks.  The Bison Tomahawk Chop is also known as an Axehandle Ribeye, and is the largest fabrication of a ribeye steak. It has a large rib bone connected to a delicious, marbled steak. 

Our All-Natural, Pasture Raised Bison Tomahawks are full of protein and essential micronutrients while being lower in fat and cholesterol than traditional beef.  The flavor is mineral-rich with a sweet finish.  Each steak is approximately 26-28 oz each, so it’s large enough to share, although you may not want to - It will certainly be the star of the grill!

This tender red meat is similar to Beef in color but has a slightly sweeter flavor. Bison Tomahawk Chop

I thought the meat was not very tender. I cooked the chop via the reverse sear method. Cooked in the oven at 235 degrees until the internal temperature reached 120 degrees. Then I seared the chop on the grill for about 2 minutes per side and then let it rest until the temperature reached at least 130 degrees. The meat was very chewy.

The meat was amazing 5 stars. But for how much it cost I would like to have the full 1.5lbs. It was under weight.

I loved the bison tomahawk. I prefer it over beef tomahawk. Very juicy, flavorful, and the right amount of fat to meat!! I loved it!! I ate right off of the grill.

Big! Tender! Tasty! What more could you want, From a steak? These are so good off the grill! The steaks will definitely satisfy the most demanding person!

cooked them in a frying pan with a little olive oil, pepper, garlic salt, seared both sides, cooked them to a medium rare, i`m not big on the frying pan, as i prefer the weber, but i gotta say, i could get use to the frying pan, old wagner! damn good steak! looking forward to another meal, as i bought 4! and will be buying more in the future!
