Wild Boar Tenderloin (Canada)

Makes a very good saurbraten though beef is the go to in this old German recipe, the Wild Boar makes a very good substitute. 8 day marinated and then a slow 2 to 3 hour simmer in a pan. Awesomeness!!

Fabulous tenderloin, way better than domestic. I prepared with root veggies, collard greens and homemade cranberry sauce. Definitely will order again.

Wild boar is my new favorite at FF. It was smaller than what I expected, but next time I have to order 2. Very tasty solid meat, tender. Put it on the grill and because they're smaller it cooks in no time.

I'm not a big eater of pork. I generally find supermarket pork too fatty or too dry. Also, I'm very wary about the hormones and additives that go into raising domestic pig. Wild boar, on the other hand, is a different animal. Not only does it taste better than domestic pig, it's very satisfying and doesn't leave me feeling weighed down or sluggish. Even the look of the meat is more appetizing. It's beyond me why some people feel squeamish about it. In my opinion, it's better in every respect.
